Newborn Photography Lewisville * Hi there! I got to meet sweet baby Jack last week! He was absolutely precious! This little guy slept so good we decided to bring him outside for some bluebonnet photos! The weather was just perfect for that! It was overcast and the weather gave us just enough time to snap these outdoor newborn photographs before it started raining!

We started Jack’s photo session in studio. All my newborn sessions are held in my studio in Flower Mound, TX. Newborns are usually photographed in studio because we can control the environment to keep the baby happy. The weather in Texas gets crazy most of the times its just too hot to bring the baby out for photos or its too cold.. With newborn sessions being done in the first two weeks of baby’s life we cant just reschedule due to the weather because the baby is growing older and they are starting to stay awake more, not allowing to pose them as easily.

Jack was a true dream baby! I usually set the studio temp at 75-80F to keep the babies nice and cozy while Im posing them. Newborns like to be warm because at this age they can’t control their body temperature. Just imagine, they just left their mommas belly that could be anywhere between 97-100F degrees.

There is a simple way to tell if your sweet baby is cold during a newborn session. Their skin starts to turn blotchy, it’s almost like you can see their veins. Thats when you need to crank the heat up to keep them comfortable.

Newborn babies sometimes tend to eat more during their photo session as well. Jack’s mom Spencer brought plenty of food to keep him fed and happy! Newborn Photography is all about patience and soothing your sweet baby back to sleep. The more they sleep the more stunning baby photos you will recieve.
