Newborn Photographer Frisco * There is something absolutely magical about the very first days of life — the tiny curled fingers, the impossibly soft skin, the way a brand-new baby fits so perfectly into her parents’ arms. When Jennifer’s family reached out to schedule their newborn session, I could already feel the excitement. And she did not disappoint. This little girl arrived with the sweetest disposition, the most kissable cheeks, and enough newborn curls to make every photographer’s heart sing.
A Morning Full of Magic
Jennifer was just eight days old when her family came into the studio — right in that golden window between 5 and 14 days when newborns are still wonderfully sleepy and curl up into the most stunning poses. Her mama and daddy drove in from Plano, and from the moment they walked through the door, it was clear this was a family absolutely head over heels in love.
We started the session with a warm room, soft music, and plenty of time for Jennifer to settle in. As a newborn photographer in Plano, creating a calm, unhurried environment is everything. Babies feel every ounce of your energy — so we slow down, we breathe, and we let them lead.
The Poses That Stole Our Hearts
Jennifer was a natural. Within the first few minutes she was deeply asleep and perfectly content, which meant we had the most gorgeous, uninterrupted time to work through some of my favorite setups.
The Froggy Pose — One of the most requested poses in the studio, and Jennifer absolutely nailed it.
Wrapped in cream, bush and a pop of color— Her parents had chosen the neutral palette with a pop of color— creamy whites, dusty rose, soft yellow, and a touch of orange and red. Against Jennifer’s delicate skin tone, the colors were perfect.
Side Laying pose – We posed Jennifer with a knitted teddy bear and she looked so calm and snuggly! I love all the prop poses we chose for her! They are wonderful for printing!
Why Timing Your Newborn Session Matters
One of the most common questions I get as a newborn photographer in Plano is: “When should I book?”
The answer? Before baby arrives.
Newborn sessions are best scheduled between 5–14 days after birth — a window that fills up fast. I recommend reaching out during your second trimester to hold your spot on the calendar. Once your little one is here, I’ll confirm your session date based on their actual arrival.
Life with a newborn is beautifully unpredictable, so I build flexibility right into my booking process. Late arrivals, last-minute feeding breaks, unexpected fussy moments — none of that is a problem. We have all the time we need.
A Note to Jennifer’s Family
To Jennifer’s mom and dad — thank you for trusting me with these irreplaceable first moments. Watching you both look at your daughter is something I will never forget. The love in that room was palpable, and I hope these images bring you right back to that morning every single time you look at them.
Jennifer, you were an absolute dream. The world is so lucky to have you in it. 🤍
